Gypsy Tango - Gypsy Noir (Canberra)

Level: Confident Intermediate to Advanced

You will learn one of GypsyNoir's signature choreographies set to Gotan Project's ' Santa Maria '. This choreo blends Bellydance, Modern Gypsy, Jazz with the sassy & sultry stylings of Tango and some serious gypsy attitude! You will learn as much choreo and attitude as we can fit into two hours so come prepared to strut, spin and flick your skirt like a professional! Bring a BIG skirt for the spectacular skirt techniques and a hat (preferably a Fedora). You will be provided with choreography notes and details to locate video footage of the choreo on YouTube.

GypsyNoir is popular dance duo Fiona MacPherson and Rita Markwell from the ACT. Performing together since September 2005, their signature style is a convergence of Bellydance with Modern Gypsy, Jazz, Funk and other contemporary dance forms with a hint of burlesque attitude. Taking great pleasure in breaking new boundaries with their characters and technique, they both teach dance in Canberra and have studied intensively in Australia and abroad.
