Emily - Workshop Details
Saturday Sept 11th, 9.00 - 10.30am
Level: All African Dance with Trance Elements Feel alive, energized and inspired! In this workshop, you will learn a traditional dance from Guinea in West Africa. The style is inherently approachable and fun, suitable for all ages and no previous experience is necessary. Emily will be incorporating movements relatable to ATS, for those dancers interested in fusing styles. By special request from the Tribe and Trance Festival, she will also be featuring trance elements in this workshop. Trance dance is highly compatible with the rhythmic, loose form of West African Dance, and the beautiful philosophies of movement-induced meditation. Bring a water bottle and dress to move.
